VIDEO CONNECTIONS WILL GIVE YOU AN ADVANTAGE WHEN NETWORKING ON ZOOM OR SIMILAR PLATFORMS

Seeing people in person since COVID-19 has made networking much more challenging. But you can still succeed in networking.  In my own work using video allows me and my clients to have more effective communication because we can see each other. I am able to see and respond to their physiology, gestures, facial expressions, body posture and more. And research shows that these kinds of visual cues make it easier for people to connect on a more personal level. So, if you are networking for a new job or seeking business, don’t be embarrassed to ask someone to connect with you by video. Don’t hide behind the phone.
