Of course, there can be many reasons for this behavior. But one reason that may not be so obvious to you or others is mental health. If you are depressed, anxious, dealing with PTSD, have a substance abuse problem or are suffering from some form of mental health issue, no matter how subtle, I urge you to seek professional help so you don’t unwittingly sabotage the career you worked so hard to build.
The legal profession is demanding enough, so don’t make it harder on yourself by operating below your best mentally, emotionally, and physically.
